Dr. Noorda and Dr. Inman Berens spoke to a group of Michigan library leaders in December 2023 and working with them was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. When we faced a cancellation and needed to get a speaker with limited notice, they were willing and flexible meet our needs.

In hindsight I am so grateful it worked out as it did because including them in our event was a fantastic addition and the program would not have been as strong without them. I would recommend them to speak to any group looking for insight into generational differences in libraries and how that may impact service models in the future.

I first met Dr. Kathi Inman Berens and Dr. Rachel Noorda at their American Library Association Annual Conference program, “Why is Amazon a ‘Library’ for GenZ and Millennials? And What Should Librarians Do about it?”  The research and data they presented was new, extremely valuable, and presented in a lively and engaging way.  I was so impressed that I arranged for them to do an expanded version of the program for Cuyahoga County Public Library’s Leadership Team who after seeing the presentation and spending time with them were similarly impressed.

Their latest reports for the American Library Association on how Gen Z and Millennials use public libraries and the state of the digital public library ecosystem offer invaluable insights for public libraries, the vendors that serve them, library trustees and boards, publishers, the media, and the public.  We are very fortunate to have these two stellar researchers engaging with, writing about, and presenting on such critical topics for the profession.  It has been a pleasure working with them.
